In partnership with Homes of Hope we entered an untouched community in San Jose, Costa Rica. This community has been one HoH has wanted to work with for sometime and the local leaders opened the opportunity for our group to come build houses for two families. Many times, a community has to grow in their trust for an organization that says strangers are going to show up and build new homes for families. We felt so lucky to be the first group to serve in this area. Again, in just two days we build TWO homes with thirty volunteers. The community poured into our build areas and we even had “the babysitters club” area with some of our teeangers doing activities with the local kids who would visit. This experience changed the hearts of many of our volunteers are the anxiously asked when we could come back!
