The story

What three days can build

For many families in the region, access to safe and stable housing can change the entire trajectory of their lives.

In September 2025, the 7 Figure Foundation returned to Tijuana, Mexico for another transformative impact trip. Forty-three volunteers joined together with our partners at Homes of Hope to build three homes for families in need — continuing our commitment to lasting change in underserved communities.

Through teamwork, dedication, and a shared heart for service, the team completed three homes that will provide security and stability for the families who move into them. Trips like this embody our mission: creating meaningful opportunities for people to give back while experiencing the profound personal transformation that comes through serving others.

The homes built in Tijuana stand as a lasting reminder that when people come together with generosity and purpose, they can create real and lasting change.

Meet the families

Three homes. Three families.

Behind every number is a name. These are the families who, over one weekend in September, received the keys to a home of their own.

The Mejía Lemus Family

Karla & Iván with their five children — Abraham, Arturo, Aarón, Carlos, and 8-year-old Camila

Karla cares for an elderly neighbor a few days a week; Iván works in a factory. They had bought a piece of land but never had a permanent home to put on it — until this weekend.

“My greatest wish is to give my children a safe and dignified place to live, where they can feel calm and secure.”

Marlene and her children, Iván (17) and Sarahi (4)

Marlene came to Tijuana from Chiapas eight years ago and has weathered more than her share of loss. Raising her children on her own, she bought her land through sheer effort. A solid home changes everything for them.

“May God greatly bless each of you for the efforts you make to bring joy to the families who receive a home.”

Josué & María with their children Geomvanny (20), Merlin (18), and Dayana (12)

Josué drives a taxi, María is a cashier, and their eldest son works to help the household. They moved from Chiapas seven years ago chasing a better life and recently bought their first piece of land — their first home now stands on it.

“Thanks to God, we have been blessed with work and, for the first time, the opportunity to own a piece of land.”
