First group to serve a new community — two homes built by 30 volunteers.
In partnership with Homes of Hope, our team built two homes for families in an untouched community — we were the first group to serve in the area. Thirty volunteers participated, and our teenagers ran a "babysitters club" of activities for local children.
This community is one Homes of Hope had wanted to work with for some time, and the local leaders opened the opportunity for our group to build houses for two families. The experience changed the hearts of many of our volunteers, who anxiously asked when we could come back.
